Mertz Tug Boats
Caprise CooperI created this piece during a workshop I attended with Nancy King Mertz. The key learnings was using a denatured alcohol wash underpainting and the minimal mark making to create the shapes. The alcohol process left all those long drip shadows of the boats in the reflection of the water.
